After being exposed to concentrated madness, a young film maker has 48 hours to escape from his own imagination before going insane forever.

An actor takes a temporary job working as a secretary at a law firm, and is attracted to a female attorney. She is reluctant to start a relationship out of fear of her fellow attorneys believing that she is dating below her position.

Funded by the Australian Development Assistance Bureau (ADAB), this was the first English-language film made in Tuvalu. The first visit of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth to the new Pacific nation of Tuvalu brings Taliu Eli, a twenty-one year-old primary teacher, from her island of Nui to Funafuti to take part in the celebrations.

Once upon a time, Andrey went against the family tradition and, abandoning his career as a teacher, went to Moscow. The business failed, and the only way to fix things was to sell the family house, which, according to rumors, Pushkin once lived in. But there is a problem: in order to make a deal, it is necessary to obtain the permission of the father, who is serving time in the colony and blames his son for this. In order to improve relations, Andrey goes to the trick and gets a job as a teacher at an evening school at the colony. But this seems to be not enough, and to prove the sincerity of his intentions to return to teaching, Andrei simultaneously gets a job at an ordinary school as a literature teacher. During the day, he instills a love for beautiful teenagers, and in the evening — prisoners. And it's not always clear which school is safer to work at.

This film follows the day-to-day lives of two porters – their laborious work carrying loads up and down Mount Tai – and traces how the tendrils of modernity stretch to the most unlikely places.
